l APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Carolina Power and Lig' '
Docket No. 50-325 Brunswick 1 Lictnse No. DPR-71 As a result of the inspection conducted on June 5-11, 1981. and in accordance with the Interim Enforcement Policy, 45 FR 66754 (October 7,1980), the following violation was identified.
Teci nical Specification 6.8.1 requires that written procedures shall be implemented for test activities of safety related equipment.
10 CFR 50, Appendix J 6 equires a primary containment ir.cegrated leak rate test (ILRT) be conducted per the requi 3ments specified therein.
Contrary to the above, as of June 11, 1981, the Brunswick ILRT procedure was inadequate in that it did not specify the requirements for venting and draining of certain systems, the addition of certain type C leak rate test results to the integrated leak rate and the procedu n included improper valve lineup.
This is a Severity Level IV Violation (Supplement I.D.3.).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, you ara hereby required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of this Notice, a written statement or explanation in reply, including: (1) admission or denial of the alleged viola-tion; (2) the reasons for the violation if admitted; (3) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (4) a rrective steps which will ba *.aken t-avoid further violations; and (5) the date when full compliance will be achieve J.
