NOTICE OF VIOLATION University of Michigan Docket No. 50-02 As a result of the inspection conducted on July 27, 1981, and in accordance with the Interim Enforcement Policy, 45 FR 66754 (October 7, 1980), the following violation was identified:
i License Condition 2.C.(1) states, the licensee is authorized to operate the facility at steady state power levels not in excess of two megawatts (thermal).
Contrary to the above, on June 9,1981, the Ford Nuclear Paactor was operated for about 20 minutes at 2.2 megawatts exceeding the licensed limit.
This is a Severity Level IV violation (Supplement 1-D).
The inspection showed that action had been taken to correct the identified i
item of noncompliance and to prevet.t recurrence.
Consequently, no reply to this item of noncompliance is required and we have no further questions regarding this matter.
