This refers to the telephone conver,ation between Mr. E. Howard of your staff and Mr. R.R. Keimig of this office on July 31, 1981, regarding qualification certification for ple-t personnel.
With regard to the matters discussed, we understand that you will take the following action:
4 1.
A roster of those persons licensed by the NRC v,u m you consider qualified.
to continue licensed activities will be provided to the NRC resident inspector no later than 4:00 p.c., July 31, 1981.
l 2.
'The station will conduct an audit of the training records for all station operations personnel to determine what portions of the-training required by the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Training Manual cannat be verified.
The training so identified will then be completed and properly documented, or justification provided as to why the training is not required.
Th?se actions will be completea for all licensed operators as soon as pc nible and no later than August 7, 1931. /e schedule for the completion of this action for all_other operations personnel will be provided to this office no later than September _11, l

Any person who is determined, as a result of these audits, not to be 4
fully qualified in accordance with the Training Manual shall be directly supervised by a qualified individual'when performing duties for which he is not qual ied.
