This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. J. Blake of this

office on May 5-8 and 12-15,1981, of activities authorized by NRC Operating

License Nos. DPR-62 and DPR-71 for the Brunswick facility, and to the discussion

of our findings held with Mr. R. Morgan, Plant Operations Manager, at the

conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the

enclosed inspection report.

Within these areas, the inspection consisted of

selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews

with personnel, and observations by the inspector.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations were disclosed.

We have examined actions you have taken with regard to previously identified

enforcement matters and unresolved items.

The status of these items is dis-

cussed in the enclosed report.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this

letter and the enclosed report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.

If the report contains any infonnation that you believe to be exempt from

disclosure under 10 CFR 9.5(a)(4), it is necessary that you:

(a) notify this

office by telephone within ten days from the date of this letter of your inten-

tion to file a request for withholding; and (b) submit within twenty-five days

from the date of this letter a written application to this office to withhold

such infonnation.

If your receipt of this letter has been delayed such that

less than seven days are available for your review, please notify this ofrice

pmmptly so that a new due date may be established.

2.790(b)(1), such application must be accompanied by an affidavit executed by
