Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. C. M. Erb of
this office on June 3-5, 1981, of activities at Braidwood Station, Units 1
and 2, authorized by NRC Construction Permits No. CPPR-132 and No. CPPR-133
and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. R. Cosaro and others of your
staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in non-
compliance with NRC requirements, as described in the enclor.ed Appendix A.
The inspection showed that action had been taken to correct the identified
noncompliance and to prevent recurrence.
Consequently, no reply to this
concompliance is required and we have no further questions regarding this
matter at this time.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and tha enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's
Public Document Room.
If this report contains any information that you or
your contractors believe to be exempt from disclosure under 10 CFR 9.5(a)(4),
it is necessary that you G 1 notify this office by telephone within seven (7)

a full statement of the reasons on the basis which it is claimed that the
information should be withheld from public disclosure. This section further
