NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT 1 STEAM GENERATOR INSPECTION PORTS SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Our letter dated September 26, 1980, Serial No.
794, provided inform 5 tion concerning the ' installation of steam generator inspection ports at North Anna Unit 1.
We requested deferral of the decision on the need to install the inspection ports until after another inspection can be performed during the upcoming refueling outage.
.This letter is intended, to, clarify our position with respect to the final.
paragraph of our September 26, 1980 letter.
If the eddy current and hand hole inspections to be performed during the upcoming refueling outage indicate that progressive denting is continuing to occur and is likely to become severe, we will reevaluate the need for and benefits of installing the inspection ports.
If installation is deemed warranted, a schedule will be provided for your review at that time.
