We have received copies of the following applications that your Company filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (OhRR) for review in connection with the Catawbc Nuclear Station:

Application dated April 8,1981, for anendment to Construction Pemit No. CPPR-ll7 for Unit No. 2 for additional ownership participant, and i

Application dated April 30, 1981, for extension of the conpletion dates specified in Construction Permits CPPR-ll6 and -117 for Unit Nos. 1 and 2.
These applications are subject to the fee provisions of 10 CFR 170.22. No fees l
were remitted by your Company for them. The ONRR staff has infomed us that:

The April 8 application involved antitrust and financial reviews which are considered to be more thar. administrative in nature.
Therefore, a Class III fee of $4,000 is reoni ed for it, and 2.
The April 30, 1981 application was approved on June 4,1981, and involved consideration of an issue that was administrative in nature. On this basis, this application requires a Class II fee of $1000 for one of the units and a Class I duplicate unit fee of $400 for the other unit.
It is requested that your Company remit to our office a total of $5,600 for the above applications.
If the ONRR staff's final review of item 1 above reveals that this fee is incorrect, you will be notified and an adjustment will be j
made.
