Dear Mr. Aswell:
At a meeting held in Bethesda on May 28, 1981 the status of the Waterford SER was discussed with your staff. The status as of that date was that of the 94 issues identified in my letters of May 15 and 21,1981, 50 remained open and 16 were resolved subject to confimatory analyses or information.
As a result of that meeting, we agreed that it was necessary to dalay issuance of the Waterford SER until July 6.
This date was selected based on a commitment made by your staff to provide adequate information to closecut 28 of the 50 open issues.
I have enclosed a list of these issues and your proposed submittal dates. Your staff also corsaltted to make every effort to address additional open items in this time frame.

I want to reit'erate that any delay in your resppnse,will likely result in a corresponding delay in the SER date.
