WATERF0PD SER SCHEDULE In March of this year, the Waterford 3 review schedule was accelerated to minimi2.2 the impact of delays in operating license issuance. At that time the accelerated schedule targeted the SER issuance as My 30, 1981.
By mid May we informed the applicant that the staff review had progressed but a large number of open issues (greater than 90) remained to be resolved cnd required a substantive amount of additional information from the applicant.
By late May approximately 50 open items remained in the draft SER.
After discussion with the applicant in late Hay, it was mutually agreed to delay the issuance of the Waterford 3 SER to July 6,1981. This date was selected based on a commitment by the applicant to provide adequate information to closeout 28 of the remaining 50 open issues. The applicant has been informed of this delay (Enclosure 1). The revised schedule was discussed with the ACRS on June 4,1981.
