Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by C. A. Hackney of this office on
March 23-25, 1981, of activities authorized by the Nuclear Regulatory
Comission Facility Operating License Nos. OPR-51 and NPF-6 for the Arkansas
Nuclear One, Unit Nos.
and 2, and to the discussion of our findings held
with you and memoers of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the
enclosed inspection report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of
selective examination of procedures, interviews with personnel and observations
by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations were disclosed.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Comission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclo;ed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's
Public Document Room.
If this report contains any infonnation that you
believe to be exempt from disclosure unoer 10 CFR 9.5(a)(4), it is necessary
tnat you (a) notify this office by telephone within 10 days from the date of
this letter of your intention to file a request for withnolding; and (b) sub-
mit within 25 days from tne date of this letter a written apolication to this
office to witnnold wcn information.
If your receiot of :nis letter has been
delayed sucn that le: s tnan seven days are available for your review, clease
notify this office promptly so that a new cue cate may be establisned.
Consistent with Section 2.790(b)(1), any such acplication must ce accompanied
by an afficavit executed oy the owner of the infonnation wnien identifies the
document or part sougnt to be witaneld, and wnica contains a full statement
of ne reasons on the basis whicn it is claimed that the information should ce
withnelc from puolic cisclosure. This section furtner requires tne statement
to accress witn specificity the considerations listed in 10 CFR 2.790(b)(a).
The information sougnt to te witnneld shall be incorcorated as far as possible
into a separate part of the affidavit.
