Narrative

Report for LER 50-366/1981-039 On 4-24-81, while operating at 98% power, 2P33-R601A, drywell H -02 analyzer recorder was found to be inoperative.

Tech 2

Specs section 3.3.6. 4 requires both channels to be operative during lower operation.

The plant was placed in a 30-day LCO.

T11s is a repetitive event as last reported in LER f50-366/1981-033.

The cause of this event has been attributed to analyzer drift as a result of faulty and dirty regulators.

The R1 and R2 regulators were replaced, and the R3 and R4 regulators were cleaned as per maintenance request 2-81-1613.

The cnalyzer was then recalibrated per HNP-2-3882, Consip Delphi Model K-IV Hydrogen and Oxygen Analyzer Functional Test and Calibration, and returned to service.

Plant operation was not affected as a result of this event.

The health and safety of the public were not affected.

A generic review revealed no inherent drift problems.
