Freedom of Information Act Request Ucar Sir:

Under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C.

552, I am requer.ing copier of those documents listed on the attached Exhibit "A".

o If there are any fees for searching for, or copying, the records I have requested, please inform me before you fill my request.

You may contact me by telephone during business hours at the above number.

I am requesting this information so that it may be submitted as evidence at an administrative hearing before the State of California, Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS).

As you know, the Act permits you to reduce or waive fees when the release of information is considered as "primarily benefitting the public."

I believe this request fits that category in that a favorable ruling from the DAS will give union workers enrolled in apprentice-ship programs nationwide the right to decline on-the-job training at construction sites for nuclear facili, ties.if the worker believes the background levels of radiation would' endanger his or her health and safety.

Therefore, I ask that you waive any fees.

If all or any part of this request is denied, please cite the specific exemption (s) which you think justifies your refusal to re-lease this information, and inform me of the appeal procedures avail-able to me under the law.

I would appreciate your handling this request as quickly.as pos-sibic and I look forward to hearing from you within ten (10) days, as the law stipulaues.

Sincerely yours, OLL hzzi e-Peter J.
