Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Docket No. 50/395 Radiological Emergency Plan
Dear Mr. Denton:
On }brch 30, 1981, South Carolina Electric and Gas Company (SCE&G) submitted information to Mr. Tom Kevern of the NRC on the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Radiological Emergency Plan. In the letter, three areas were identified as open items and under review by SCE&G. These areas are:
(1) Staffing requirements of NUREG-0654; (2) Technical Support Center / Emergency Operating Facility in meeting NUREG-0696; (3) Meteorological Tower requirements of Appendix 2, NUREG-0654.
Each of these areas have implementation dates at various times in 1982, which gives SCE6G some time to fully complete our review and coordinate actions to be implemented in meeting the required dates. SCE&G will resolve these areas by either (1) meeting the requirements and implementation dates of the above listed items in l
NUREG-0654 and NUREG-0696 or (2) come to a mutually agreeable solution on the l
requirements with the NRC staff.
Specific information on the Meteorological Tower requirements will be provided l
to the NRC staff by May 8, 1981.
