Dear Mr. Hancock:

SUBJECT:

ADEQUACY OF STATION ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM VOLTAGES By letters dated April 3 and December 22, 1980 you provided information in response to our August 8,1979 request for information on the Crystal River 3 (CR-3) station electric distribution system voltages. We have now com-pleted our evaluation (Enclosure) of that information and have determined that the CR-3 design is acceptable with respect to " Station Electric Distri-bution System Voltages" subject to completion of tap changes on the start-up transformer and verf fication of bus voltages as discussed in the enclosed Safety Evaluation. We request that you provide confirmation of tap changes and the results of your verification of voltage analysis within 20 days after CR-3 restart following the next refueling shutdown. We will addrass these issues in a supplement to the enclosed Safety Evaluation.

Sincerely, J ihn F. Stolz, Chie erating Reactors Branch (/4 Division of Licensing
