- PPE'! DIX A "GTICE OF VIOLATION As a resuit of the investigation conducted on September 25 to October 30 s 1980, and in accordance with the Interim Enforcement Policy, 45 FR 66L (Cetcher 7,1980), the follcwing violatica was identified:
10 CPR 50, Accendix B, Criterien XII states, in cart, " Measures shall-be estaciished to assure that tools, gauges, instruments, and other teasuring ano testing cevices are...procerly... calibrated...at specified pe ri ods.... "
Paragrach 17.4.12.1.a of the Washington Public Pcwer Supply System Quality Assurance Program cocumentea in the PSAR states, in part, that, "... site contractors' approved procecures estaolish a system for the control, calibration and adjustment of tools, gauges, d nstruments and other inspection, reasuring, testing and maintenance cevices ustd at the site. This system is establisned such that confomance to estabiished requirements is verified at s;ecific ceriods of time to assure the uqe of proper type, range and accuracy of the device."

Centrary to the above, on September 25, 1980, the Wallace/ Superior calibraticn re;0rds had not been reviewed by the Project Quality Assurance Manager cr de,igr.ee since July 1,1980. Furthemore, the calibration records fer rive pieces of equipment decurented that the equipment had not been ecalled and recalibrated within the dates specified on the
