Dear Mr. Denton:
South Carolina Electric and Gas Company, acting for itself and as agent for the South Carolina Public Service Authority, hereby submits information con-cerning Operator Training at Virgil C. Su=mer Nuclear Station on ATWS (Anti-cipated Transient Without Scram) events. The following is a list of docu-mented training concerning an ATVS event:
- 1) On 2/11/80 and 3/11/80 there was a 7-8 hour class on an ATWS event. This instruction was contracted from Westinghouse and included the definition of ATWS, types of events evaluated, and recognition and action to be taken in an ATWS event.

On'12/16/80 and'1/06/81, as part of the Operator training on Station Emergency Procedure E0P-5, " Reactor Trip", actions to be taken by the operator in the event of an ATWS incident were discussed.
