This refers to the telephone conversation between Mr. Mathis of your staff and Mr. Edward G. Greenman of this office on November 28, 1980, regarding control of overtime for licensed operators.
With regard to the matters discussed, we understand that you have taken the following action:
Administrative controls have been inplemented requiring notificaticn to the Nuclear Operations Manager or his Deputy if a replacement cannot be obtained for a Nuclear Plant Operator at the end of his normal eight hour shift. We further understand, the Nuclear Operations Manager may authorize up to 12 hours1.388889e-4 days <br />0.00333 hours <br />1.984127e-5 weeks <br />4.566e-6 months <br /> for the operator involved or find a qualified relief for him.
If our understanding of the actions described above, is not in accordance with the actual actions implemented, please contact this office immediately.
