Gentlemen:
This refers to the special inspection conducted by Mr. N. C. Choules of this
office on December 6-8 and 18-22,1989, of activities at the Braidwood Nuclear
Power Station, Units 1 and 2, authorized by NRC Operating Licenses No. NFF-72
and NPF-77 and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. R. Querto at the
conclusion of the inspection. This inspection was conducted to review Balance
of Plant (BOP) activities.
The enclosed copy of cur inspection resort identifies areas exainired during
the inspection. Within these areas, tis inspection consisted of a selecthe
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel,

inspecc.icts.
Ir accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Comission's regulations, a copy of
