SUBJECT:
McGUIRE FUEL LOAD SSER #4 INPUT As you recall on July 16, 1980, all of the technical review ads and the McGuire LPM briefed H. Denton at his request on the McGuire review status.
At that time we were assured by the ads that there were no problems and that the FL SSER #4 input would be available to the PM by the scheduled input date August 1,1980. The current review status is shown on the enclosure (both TMI and non-TMI items).
This is to alert you that we have not received any sc'ieduled input and that the technical review branches are unable to spend any effort at this time on the McGuire review. This we understand is due to higher priority projects assigned by senior. management.
In one case, the reviewer has a series of questions which the applicant must respond to but the reviewer is unable to process them to the PM. We have discussed this situation with reviewers, branch chiefs and AD.
In view of the severe manpower restraints indicated to us, we suggest that you may wish to reschedule the issuance of the McGuire FL SSER frem September 1 to October 1, 1980..
