Dear Mr. Denton:
South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCESG) acting for itself and as agent for the South Carolina Public Service Authority, submits forty-five (45) copies of a request to utili: e code case N-282 during N-stamping of systems. As discussed with Mr. Robert Kirkwood, this code case has been reviewed by the NRC and will eventually be included as an acceptable code case in a future revision to Regulatory Guide 1.85 SCE&G will use this code case onl: as stated, for 4 inch and under valves.
Currently there are 23 valves at the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station with missinp data plates which could be covered by this cele case.

23 Due to the nature of the problen, this number may increase by a snall amount.
Utilization of this code case involves no safety issue.
It will resolve ad-ministrative problens relating to procurement, installation and documentation of the data plates.
