Dear Mr. Hancock:
l We have reviewed your responses by letters dated June 19, July 16 and 25 and December 13, 1979, to our I&E Bulletin 79-13 on feedwater pipe cracks as related to Crystal River Unit No. 3.
Based on this review, we have concluded that it is highly unlikely that your facility will experience feedwater pipe cracks similar to those observed at other facilities.
Therefore, the augmented inspections as required under I&E Bulletin 79-13 and 79-13(2) may be discontinued. However, th elimination of the augmented inspection program does not relieve you of the inspections re-quired under the ASME Code Section XI for Class 2 components for the emergency feedwater system.
