This refers to the meeting held at our request at the Shoreham Nuclear
Power Station, Shoreham, New York on May 12, 1981
The meeting was attended by yourself, Dr. Cordaro and other members of
your staffs and by myself and other members of the NRC Region I Staff.
Subjects discussed included a discussion of the Systematic Assessment of
Licensee Performance (SALP) Program and the results of a review by the
SALP Review Board.
It is our view that this meeting was beneficial and improved mutual under-
standing of your program and our inspection efforts.
In accordance with Section 2.790, of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the
enclosures will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
No reply to this letter is required, however, should you have any questions
concerning this matter, we will be pleased to discuss them with you.
