We have received a copy of your letter dated May 14, 1980, which transmitted yotr proposed security plan entitled " General Electric Company, Vallecitos Nuclear Center, Security Plan TR-1."
This plan was sent to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (0NRR) and relates to your test reactor authorized by License No. TR-1.
Under the provisions of 10 CFR Part 170, fees are required for applications i
and other submittals filed with the USNRC which require review.
Sections 170.12(c) and 170.22 of the enclosed Part 170 require that companies deter-mine the fee class and/or classes for applications, state the basis therefor, and remit the determined fees with the applications.
The License Fee Manage-ment Branch has the responsibility for collection of the fees required by 10 CFR 170 as determined to be applicable by the ONRR review staff.
It is our understanding that your security plan requires ONRR review to determine whether it satisfies the requirements of 10 CFR 73.67.
Based on information provided by the ONRR staff as a result of a preliminary

review of your security plan, it has been determined that it involves consideration of a single safeguards issue. Therefore, a Class III fee of
$2,000 is applicable and should be remitted to this office.
If the final review of your security plan by the ONRR staff reveals that this fee is incorrect, an adjustment will be made.
