REVISED SECURITY PLAN FOR THE PROTECTION OF REACTOR FACILITIES (TR-1)

Dear Sir:

In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p) and 10 CFR 73.67(c)(1), the General Electric Company, Vallecitos Nuclear Center (GE-VNC) submits herewith six (6) copies of proposed security plan titled, " General Electric Company, Vallecitos Nuclear Center, Security Plan TR-1."

The enclosed proposal was developed to embody requirements pursuant to 10 CFR 50 while at the same time being responsive to the 10 CFR 73 regulations as they apply to material of Moderate Strategic Significance (10 CFR 73.67).

It is our understanding that upon NRC approval, this plan would supersede, in total, all prior submittals of similar name, i.e., Reference 2, above.

Additionally, it is our determination that this amended security plan, in no way decreases the effective-ness of the currently approved security pro gam and it is estimated that its complete implementation could be effected within 30 days of receipt of NRC approval.

As the enclosure contains information concerning the safeguarding of SNM, GE-VNC requests that it be withheld from public disclosure, pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(d).
