. Instrumentation Functional Test and Calibration, RCIC Suppression Chamber Area Differential Temperature Switch, 2E51-il604B, was found to actuatc at 53 degrees F.

Tech Specs 3.3.2-2, Item 5.f requires switch actuation of

</=50 degrees F.

Redundant temperature switch 2E51-f!604A was found 'to be within tolerance.

Plant operation was not affected as a result of this event; The health and safety of the public was not affected.

This is a non-repetitive event.

The cause of this event has been attributed to setpoint drift.

The temperature switch was recalibrated per HilP-2-5235, Transmation 610 and 630 Temperature Switch Calibration, then functionally tested successfully per HNP-2-3407, Suppression Chamber Delta T (RCIC) Instrumentation Functional

. Test and Calibration and returned to service.

A generic review revealed no inherent problems with this switch for' this particular application.

Unit I uses this type of temperature switch for this application.
