Dear Mr. Kay:
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 66 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-3 for Yankee Nuclear Power Station (Yankee-Rowe). The amendment censists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application dated October 22, 1980.
The amendment adds requirements to provide for redundancy in decay heat removal capability in all modes of operation.
Copies of the Safety Evaluation and Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
