The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued 1

1 Amend 5ent No. 63 to Facility Operating License No. DPP-29, and Amendment

- No. 57 to Facility Operating License flo. DPR-30, issued to Ccamonwealth Edison Company and Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Ccmpany, which revised the. Technical. Specifications for operation of the Quad Cities Nuclear Power

Station, Unit Hos.1 and 2, located in Rock Island County, Illinois.

The amendments'are effective as of the date of issuance.

The aren'dments revise the Appendix A Technical Specifications to (1) properly list:the number and placementLof-installed heat detectors and

. smoke' det'ectors in Table 3.12-1, (2) record -in Table 3.12-2 the presence of

- a. sprinkler system in the cable spreading room, and (3) correct an erroneous

- statement of. minimum. level for a fuel storage tank.

The applications for the amendments comply.with.the standards and rec,uire-ments of the ' Atomic ' Energy. Act of _1954, as amended (the Act), and the -

t Commission'sirules an'd regulations..The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by.the Act and:the' Commission's rules and-regulations-i lin 110 CFR' Chapter I,. whichLare setLforth in:the license amendments.'
