Subject: Meeting 50-333/81-03
This refers to the meeting held at our request at the FitzPatrick Nuclear
Power Plant, Scriba, New York on January 29, 1981 to discuss the findings of
the NRC Region I Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) Program
evaluation board relating to your performance in conducting activities authorized
by NRC License No. DPR-59.
The meeting was attended by you, Mr. Boston, Mr. Eayne, Mr. Deist and other
members of your staffs, and by myself, and other members of the NRC Region I
staff. Subjects discussed included the results'of a review board composed of
myself and NRC Region I Branch Chiefs.
It is our view that this meeting was beneficial and improved mutual understanding
of your program and our inspection efforts.
In accordance with Section 2.790, of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
No reply to this letter is required; however, should you have any questions
concerning this matter, we will be pleased to discuss them with you.
