Subject: Report Nos.M0-Mh24/80D

Thank you for your letter dated February 3, 1981 and your supplemental response

dated March 20, 1981, informing us of steps you have taken to correct violations

concerning activities under Operating License Nos. DPR-62 and DPR-71 brought to

your attention in our letter of January 9,1981.

Item A in the Notice of Violation involves unplanned releases which occurred at

the Brunswick site during early 1980. This matter is the subject of a separate

investigation which is currently in progress.

For the purposes of Inspection

Reports 50-325/80-42 and 50-324/80-39, Item A is withdrawn and our records will

be revised to remove this citation.

Regarding Item D, we have evaluated your response and concur with the additional

clarification provided in your response.

Consequently, this item is withdrawn

and our records will be revised to remove this citation.

Regarding Item H, we have evaluated your response and concur with the additional

clarification provided in your response to Audit QAA/21-13, Concern 5.

This

example of incorrect categorization of a finding as a concern is withdrawn;

however, incorrect categorization of Audit QAA/21-14, Concern 3,

remains the

basis for the item as stated.

Regarding Items B, C, E, F, G, H, I, J, K and L, we will examine your corrective

actions and plans during subsequent inspections.

We appreciate your cooperation with us.

Sincerely,

WO
