As you requested in your telephone call February 6, we are writing to confirm that on February 3 ve contacted you requesting an extension until February 17 in which to file our response to your First Set of Interrogatories, and that we also contacted the Board Chairman, Valentine Deale on that date and he granted our request.

As I mentioned during our telephone conversation February 6, we had not even looked at your interrogatories at that time. However, since then we have glanced over the= and the Applicants' October 8, 1980 Emergency Plan (which we also had not completed reading when we spoke with you). We find that we have a problem with j

answering sane of your questions since the information provided by Applicants l

in CASE's copy of the Emergency Plan was incomplete.

Page 2 of the Plan states " Specific details 'for the execution of the Emergency Plan are incorporated into imple=enting procedures, referred to as Emergency Plan Procedures. While this document outlines the overall aspects of emergency planning, the Emergency Plan Procedures contain spec'ific individual responsibili-t ies and detailed instructions for accomplishing specific tasks. A list of the Emergency Plan Procedures thet will be a part of the Emergency Plan is contained in Section 9 0, Appendix K."

Appendix K, page K-2 states "This infonnation is not provided in this copy. It vill be provided in all controlled Emergency Plan manuals."
