Arkansas Nuclear One - Unit 1 Docket No. 50-313 License No. DPR-51 Proposed Technical Specification for the Anticipatory Reactor Trip System (File: 1511.1,1510)

Gentlemen:

Our letter of February 12, 1980 provided proposed Technical Specifications for the Anticipatory Reactor Trip System (ARTS). In response to a request by Mr. Guy Vissing of your staff, attached are revisions to the February 12, 1980 proposed Technical Specifications.

The revisions being made involve changes to items number 36 and 42 of Table 4.1-1 (pages 72 and 72a). These changes will add a check monthly and calibration once every 18 months for the Reactor Trip Upon loss of Main Feedwater Circuitry and the Reactor Trip Upon Turbine Trip Circuitry.

This change will resolve a discrepancy between our February 12, 1980 submi .al and AP&L's letter of August 8,1980, which provided a description of the ARTS.
