Based on the tests performed and the comitment to rpplace or to successfully test the four seals that have not been replaced, we find the cable penetration fire stops (Item 3.12 of our Fire Protection SER dated August 22,1979) to be. acceptable..

Dear Mr. Cavanaugn:

By letter dated June 19, 1980, you indicated that all but four of the penetration seals installed in Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit No. I were replaced with penetration seals which have been accepted for use in Unit No. 2 and which have passed the reouired ASTM-E-119 fire tests.

You have also committed to test the remaining four seals, which have not been replaced, to the criteria for ASTM-E-119.

Based on the tests performed and the comitment to replace or to successfully test the four seals that have not been replaced, we find the: cable penetration fire stops (Item 3.12 of our Fire Protection SER dated August 22,1979) to be acceptable.
