On Au9ust 21 1979, Arizona Public Service Cogany withdrew the construction permit application for Palo Verde 4 & 5.
Under 10 CFR Part 172. it is Comission practice to recover review costs using the procedures of Footnote 3 to 10 CFR 170.21 when the review of the project is complete. The review of this project was completed as of August 24, 1979.
Accordingly, we have determined the actual expenditures incurred for professional manpower and contractual support services from the date the application was filed to its date of withdrawal. Actual costs for Unit 4 were S539,896 and 37,637 for Unit 5.
Under the Comission's regulations, we limit the charge for review to that which would be applied to the construction pemit under 10 CFR 170.21 A.3., that is, $539,896 for Unit 4 and 57,637 for Unit 5.
5125,000 has already been paid as an application fee. The balance due for the review of the construction permit application is as follows:

$547,533 Less application fee -125,000 Balance Due NRC 5422,533 We have notified the NRC Office of Controller to issue an invoice to Arizona Public Service Company to cover the Comission's review costs.
