Docket Nos. 4 0-488, 489, & 4903 IE Bulletin 8 -16 ~

Duke File: P81-1412.ll-1

Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

In response to your letter of June 27, 1980, which transmitted Nuclear Reg-ulatory Commission IE Bulletin 80-16, we wish to advise that a review of the designs of Cherokee and Perkins Nuclear Stations has been conducted. This review revealed that no Rosemount Models 1151 and 1152 pressure transmitters are used in safety-related applications at these stations. The concerns addressed in this Bulletin will be factored into the design such that there will be no misapplication of these transmitters if they are purchased for future use.

Very truly yours, f
