This refers to the telephone conversation between yori and Mr. E. J. Brunner of this office on August 5,1980, regarding testing of.the 'D' Safety Relief Valve (SRV)atPilgrimNuclearPowerStation, Unit 1.
With regard to the matters discussed, we understand that you will take the following actions:
1.
Perform Surveillance Testing to demonstrate the ability of 'D' SRV to open on demand at norma 1' operating pressure. This test will be performed prior to 11:59 PM, August 6, 1980.
2.
Continue trouble shooting to detennine the cause of the previous failures of 'D' SRV to open on demand.
3.
Perform additional Surveillance Testing on
'D' SRV at normal operating pressure following any work on the SRV control system.
