1 The Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Cem.ission) has found that.

A.

The application fer amendment by Omaha Public Power District i

(the licensee) filed on July 17, 1979 as supplemented by letters dated October 30 and Dececter 4,1979, January 30, February 12, I

and 25, March 12, May 21, and June 25, 1980 coglies with the 5

standards and recuirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act) and the Comission's rales and regulations set forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; S.

The facility will operate in confermity with the applica-tion, the provisions of the Act, and the rules and regula-tions of the Comission; C.

There is reasonable assurance (i) that the activities authorized by this amendment can be conducted without endangering the health and safety cf the public, and (ii) that such activities will be conducted in cogliance witn the Comission's regalatiens; D.

The issuance of this arendment will not be inimical to the comon defense and security cr to the health and safety cf the uolic; and E.

Tne issuance of this amendment is in accercance witn 10 CFR Part 51 cf tne Comissicn's regalations anc all acclicable recuirements nave been satisfiec.

Accordingly, the license is amended by changes to License Condition 3. A.

i and the Technical Specifications as indicated in the attachment to this j

license amendment, and paragraphs 3. A. and 3.B. of Facility Operating i

License No. DPR-40 are hereby amended to read as follows:

5 Omaha Public Power District is authorized to operate the Fort Calhoun Station, Unit 1, at steady state reactor core power levels not to exceed 1500 megawatts thermal (rated power).

B.

Technical Soecifications The Technical Specifications contained in Appendices A and B, as revised through Amendment No. 50, are hereby incorporated i

in the license. The licensee shall operate the facility in accordar.ce with the Technical Specifications.

3.

This license amendment is effective as of the date of its issuance.
