This information concerns two proposed additional ownership participants, the North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation and the Saluda River Electric Cooperative, Ir.c.
for the Catawba Nuclear Station, Unit 1.
The current holder df the construc-tion permit is Duke Power Company.
The information was filed in connection witir the application by Duke Power Company for construction permits and operati{ig licenses for two pressurized water reactors. Construction was' authorized on August 7, 1975 at the Catawba site located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Although the Catawba facilities consist of two nuclear power plants, the proposed action affects only Catawba Nuclear Station, Unit 1.
The original application was dated November 10, 1972. The Notice of Receipt of Application for Construction Permits and Facility Licenses and Avail-ability of Applicant's Environmental Report; Time for Submission of Views on Antitrust Matters was published in the Federal Register on December 7,1972 (37F.R.26053).
Previously, the Notice of Hearing had been published in the Federal Register on December 1, 1972 (37 F.R. 25560).
