August 11,1980 Docket No. 50-344 Mr'. Charles Goodwin, Jr.

Assistant Vice President Portland General Electric Company 121 S.W. Salmon Street Portland, Oregon 97204

Dear Mr. Goodwin:

On July 10, 1980, the Commission issued Amendment No. 46 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-1 for the Trojan Nuclear Plant.

The amendment deleted from the reactor protection system the reactor trip derived from the opening of any single reactor coolant pump circuit breaker above 36% power.

On July 25, 1980, the Cormiission issued an amendment, also numbered 46, which approved the use of the Westinghouse Improved Thennal Design Procedure and the WRB-1 Critical Heat Flux Correlation for the Trojan facility.

The July 25, 1980 amendment was incorrectly numbered 46. Please change the Amendment No. to 48 on all documents transmitted with the July 25 lei.ter.

This was an administrative error.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this error may have caused you.

Sincerely, I
