'iance, Headquarters COMPLIANCE INQUIRY MEMORANDUM CONSUMERS POWER COMPANY (BIG ROCK POINT)
DOCKET NO. 50-155 B-52 PLANE CRASH On January 8,1971, Region III contacted the Big Rock Point plant superintendent to determine if the reactor facility was in any way affected as a result of the B-52 plane crash the evening of January 7.
The following pertinent information was obtained:
1.
No damage to the reactor facility was experienced.
2.
The explosion was viev 3 by residents of Charlevoix located approximately four miles southwest of the Big Rock Point n
facility.

Point staff.
(Estimated 5-6 miles offshore.)
8+. The plant superintendent understands that the reactor facility is being used as a navigational aid by the bombers but is not being used as a practice target as was the case during the approximate years of 1963-1966.
