t AFFIDAVIT er JURN D. PANETE state of Wisconsin County of Vernon John D. Parkyn, being first duly sworn, on oath says l
as follows:
1.
My name is John D. Parkyn.
I.am employed by Dairyland Power Cooperative as the Assistant superintendent of the:
Le Crosse Boiling water menctor.
A stat-nt of my professiemel qualifications and esperience is attached hereto.
2.
The only safety-related structures at the LACBWR site which are not supported by pilas are the erth house and ther essociated underground piping which provida one of the sources of emergency core cooling water to the reactor ea=taf====* building.
3.
Smiryland. has agreed to design and install a re-dundant dedicated safe shutdown system to he housed inside the turbine building which will provide additional amargency cooling wate. m t - e t.f

systems will elimiaste the need to rely on the crib house and associated unde vaud piping and will mitigate the effecta of 4
liquefaction elsewhere on the LACENR sitar in the event of an earthquake with a peak ground acceleratism of S.12g.
DairyImad has already indeeted concrete grouting into several low depth.
l voids which were discovered beneath the concrete floor slab in the turbine building.

These additianal measurar which Dairyland is under-I; taking will provide adequate assurance that the effects of lique-faction in the free field at the LAC 3IfR site will be adequately
