JERSEY CENTRAL POWER & LIGHT COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued Amendment No. 53 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-16, issued to Jersey Central Power & Light Company (the licensee), wnich revised the license for operation of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Gene:iting Station (the facility), located in Ocean County, New Jersey.
The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The Guard Training and Qualification plan is to be fully implemented within 60 days of Comission approval in accordance with 10 CFR 73.55(b)(4).
The amendment adds a license condition to include the Commission-approved Guard Training and Qualification Plan.
The licensee's filing, which has been handled by the Comission as an application, complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations.
The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
J Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amend-ment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
The Comission has determined that the issuance of this amendrent will not result in any significant environmental imoact and that oursuant to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(a) an envi ronmental impact statement or negative 8.103050J M i
. declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of tnis a:rendment.
The licensee's filing dated July 28, 1980, and its revision dated January 7,1981, are being withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(d).
The withheld information is subject to disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Section 9.12.
