Narrative

Report for LER 50-366/1981-006 On 1-23-81, with the unit in cold shutdown due to a r fe ueling outage, HNP-2-3975, Testing of SBGT Filter Train s by Vendor, was performed on SBGT filter train 2T46-D001A.

Upon receiving test results it was discovered that the filter train would not remove greater than or equal to 99% of a halogenated hydro-carbon refrigerant test gas as required by Tech Specs 4.6.6.1.1.f.. As a result of this test failure SBGT filter train 2T46-D001A was declared inoperable.

In order to alleviate the probicm the defective charcoal was O

replaced with new charcoal, and the system was rotested.

The new test resulcs indicated that the system was operable ac-cording to HNP-2 '975 and Tech Specs 4.6.6.1.1.f.

It should be noted that SBLT 2T46-D001B was tested

also, and test results were satisfactorv.
