In reply to Reference (3), Appendix A, Item A and Paragraph 3 of Details, Audits:

We had exfected that che information supplied in Reference (2) would be sufficient to demer;trate that the Corporate Nuclear Safety Team Review eoper review to be recognized as an annual review of various items was a r of nuclear safety, including health physics. An evaluation by NRC manage-ment of the acceptability of this audit is still requested.

While the availability of the information concerning the detailed review and evalutation of our Radiation Protection Program by our nuclear risk specialists was mentioned to the inspector, copies of their findings and recommendations were not included in Reference (2). We consider some of the items co=municated by ANI to be private. Under these circumstances, we would normally recommend review of the reports at this site during the l

next inspection. However, in view of our discussion (Reference (4)), we are enclosing a copy of the ANI audit report, dated November 28, 1979, relative to the October 30, 1979 agenda.

This report is to be treated as United Nuclear Corporation privileged information and exempt from public disclosure. No reproduction of this report is to be made. Disclosure or dissemination of this information without consent of the United Nuclear Corporation is governed by Title 18, Section 1905, U. S. Code.

We consider the "B" South area entrance to be posted as in compliance with our NRC license. Appropriate additional health physics instructions are posted under the radiation caution. A number of supplementary i

radiation / radioactive material signs and instructions are placed at various points within the "b" South area.

At the entrance / exit to "B" South, there is a constantly attended security 4

station with portal monitoring metal and radiation detectors during the period when any personnel are in "B" South.

The presence of the guards and the instrumentation are constant reminders that radioactive materials are being processed.
