Attachment To LER 80-113/03L Beaver Valley Power Station Duquesne Light Company Docket No. 50-334 Ilundreds of new penetrations were made for design change work which was begun during the BVPS 1980 refueling outage. The majority or this ongoing work is for improvements to our security and fire protection systems. Drawings are currently being made which will show the locations of all original and newly drilled penetrations. There will be at least one drawing per area which will, in the future, be used in conjunction with the fire barrier surveillance test.

A letter dated January 15, 19?1 has been sent from the BVPS Superintendent to the Superintendent of Nuclear Construction reiterating the importance of providing training on the scaling of fire barriers to the personnel under his control. A letter was also sent to the Quality Control supervisor requesting more inspector attention to this problem.
