Haddam Neck Plant Response to Report of Inspection 50-213/80-15 This correspondence is in response to a telephone conversation between Mr. Lee Bettenhousen of your staff and Connecticut Yankee Training l

Supervisor, Stanley Fleming, concerning the response in reference (2) to l

the Notice of Violation as described in reference (1).

Further clarification of our response to Deficiency A and B is being provided.

Deficiency A As stated in the original response a revised program has been submitted to the Operator Licensing Branch removing the numerical limit on the number of exemptions to Operator Requalification requirements.

l In the interim the number of exemptions is being limited to two.

Based on this, Connecticut Yankee is now in full compliance with the requalification requirements.

_2 Deficiency B As state' in our response, the review of Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP's) e now being accomplished by the self study tec1nique. The return to.his technique will assure that all E0P's will be reviewed by all licensed personnel by June 1, 1981.
