Huard This is in reply to your letter of September 16, 1964, requesting a general authorization to make allowance for the use of respiratory protective equipment in determining whether individuals in restricted areas at the Dresden reactor are exposed to concentrations of airborne radioactive material in excess of the limits specified in Appendix B, Table I of 10 CFR 20.
A temporary authorization was granted on March 13, 1964, in response to your request dated July 30, 1963.
Based on our review of the information submitted, we have concluded that a general authorization may be granted to take credit for the use of protective equipment in restricted areas at the Dresden reactor on the same basis as the temporary authorization dated March 13, 1964. Accordingly, pursuant to Section

20.103(c)(3),10 CFR 20, _ you are hereby authorized to make allowance for the use of protective equipment in determining whether individuals in restricted areas are exposed to airborne concentrations in excess of the limits specified in Appendix B, Table I of 10 CFR 20, subject to the conditions attached as
" Annex A" to the authorization of March 13, 1964 letter and to the provisions of exhibits C, D, E and F of your letter of July 30, 1963 as amended by
" Annex A" to the March 13, 1964 authorization. This authorization applies only to those activities carried out under the provisions of License No.
No change may be made in these requirements and limitations without prior AEC approval.
