APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Florida Power Corporation License No. DDR-72 Crystal River Based-on the NRC inspection May 24-28, 1980, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by 10 CFR 20.203(f) each container of licensed material shall bear a durable, clearly visible label identifying the raiioactive contents.
The label shall bear the radiation caution symbol and the words " CAUTION -
RADI0 ACTIVE MATERIAL" and shall provide sufficient information to permit individuals handling or ~using the-containers or working in the vicinity thereof, to take precautions to avoid or minimize exposures.
Contrary to _ the above, bags of waste and drums of laundry, which were determined by the inspector to contain licensed material, were not marked with the appropriate labels.
This is an infraction. A similar item was brought to your attention in our letter dated January 18, 1980.
