IE Infor ation Notice No. 80-06 (IN 80-05) issued en February 27, 1953, for-arced a Federal Register Notice which indicated that the NR* regulations were a enced by adding a ne. 5 50.72, " Notification of significant events", to 10 CFR Part 50.

The effective date of the ne rule was ;2hruary 29, 1980.

This Infor ation Notice supple:ents IN EO-06 and provides clarificatien en types of events that are required to be reported in accorcance with the rule.

Public ccerents en the rule indicate the need fer ecre cetailed clarificatien en what c currences are rescrtable in regard to certain e ent tp es listed in the rule.
