Failure to restore operability to the Meteorological Monitoring Instrumentation channels for more than seven (7) days contrary to Technical Specification 3.3.3.4.

Conditions Prior to Occurrence:

Mode 1 power operation (97%)

Description of Occurrence:

At 0800 the Meteorological Monitoring System power was secured to allow construction workers to relocate the , cables away from a construction project. The construction effort lasted seven (7) days, one (1) hour.

Designation of Apparent Cause:

The cause of this event was the time required to complete the relocation of the cables.

Analysis of Occurrence:

There was no effect upon the general public health or safety.

Corrective Action:

The unique nature of this event precludes the necessity of any further currective action.

Failure Data:

This is the first event of this type and the twelfth report under this specification.
