This refers to your letter of August 27, 1980, in response to the Notice of Violation and the Notice of Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalties sent to you with our letter dated August 1,1980.
The Notice of Violation identified items of noncompliance involving the improper disposal of radio-actively contaminated material, the failure of workers to employ proper techniques in the use of anti-contamination clothing and self-monitoring practices, and problems in the implementation and management of your radia-tion protection program.
The specific corrective measures detailed in your response to the items of noncompliance will be reviewed during subsequent inspections to determine your effectiveness in preventing additional non-compliance.
This also acknowledges receipt of your check in the amount of,$89,000 in full payment of the assessed civil penalty.
